Meet Dulce I. Martinez from Fresno State.

She is a third-year student majoring in Media, Communications and Journalism with a focus in Advertising and Public Relations. She is proud to work with the Fresno State Police Department and The Collegian. Some fun activities she enjoys doing are reading non-fiction books and fitness.

Meet Ella Frankland from Fresno State.

She is a third-year student majoring in Media, Communications and Journalism with a focus in broadcasting and journalism. She is proud to work with the Visalia Country Club as a server and advertiser. A fun activity she enjoys is posting videos on social media.

Meet Kamila Cortes From Fresno State

She is a second-year student majoring in Media, Communications, and Journalism with a focus in Broadcast Multimedia. She is proud to work within the Fresno School District as substitute teacher for after school programs and holds an internship with Fresno State Athletics Marketing as in-game host. In her free time she enjoys reading, diamond painting, doing puzzles and watching movies.

Meet Elana McCall from Fresno State

She is a first-year student majoring in Media, Communications, and Journalism with a focus in Advertising and Public Relations. Passionate about everything social media, she is excited to dig deeper into journalism. She enjoys spending her free time working with kids, actively volunteering with the student ministries at People’s Church Fresno.

Water Lantern Festival

Hundreds of glowing lanterns lit up the lake at the Water Lantern Festival at Woodward Park in Fresno. This lantern event sparked a real life Rapunzel moment.

The festival began in the early evening and was open to the public. Live music, vendors and activities were provided before the ceremony.

Families, friends and couples gathered to decorate floating lanterns with personal messages of hope, love and more.

They also played card games, wore flower crowns and had a picnic like style hang out. After sunset, everyone releases them into the pond.

A family who attended the event said they came for their dad who enjoys spending time with his daughters and wife.

The Fresno Water Lantern Festival offered more than just a beautiful display of lights. It created a space where the community could come together, reflect on the past and look forward to the future. Everyone shared a memorable night in the heart of the Central Valley.

Mark’s Kitchen Restaurant Review

Helen Po, known for her iconic phrase, “Bomb ass shit!,” brings a strong influence to visit Mark’s Kitchen in Fresno. Through TikTok and Instagram, followers adore her vivid performance.

Several people all over the world come visit Mark’s Kitchen to enjoy this distinctive food experience. According to Po, a New Yorker has visited this restaurant three times.

Gary, a first-time customer, shared how great the restaurant was, “It’s cooked, right temperature, fresh out of the grill.” He was then asked if he would visit again, he said yes and his wife commented, “Tomorrow.”

Po has operated her family-owned restaurant since 1999—27 years. Po builds a powerful relationship in the restaurant and on social media. She’s motivated to work Monday through Saturday and provide a vivid experience for the customers.

River Park Farmers Market

At River Park Shopping Center in Fresno, a local favorite event continues to bring the community together twice a week—the River Park Farmers Market.

Held on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings, the market has become a go-to spot for fresh food, local vendors, and a lively outdoor vibe. For more than 20 years, this event has taken place and has evolved into such an adored event by the 559 community. The market features a wide variety of Central Valley produce, small businesses and baked goods.

But what really makes this event stand out from other farmers markets, is its themed markets. For the month of March they held two themed markets, one in honor of St.Patrick’s day which involved holiday themed dishes and Irish specialties. They also held their monthly ‘Blockbuster Bites’ where you can try iconic dishes from your favorite movies.

One thing you can always count on the farmers’ article to have is great energy. Crowds fill the walkways, rows upon rows of food trucks serving everything from street food to sweet treats. Chatter and laughter can be seen and heard even over the live music that only adds to the lively atmosphere. The market is just as much about eating and shopping as it is about the experience.

Located in one of Fresno’s busiest shopping areas, the market blends food with community. Whether you’re stopping by for fresh produce or just looking for something fun to do, the River Park Farmers Market offers a little bit of everything and a lot of local fun flavor.

Gilmore Girls Trivia Night

Local hot spot, Ten Tavern, hosted one of their hit events “Trivia Night” this past Tuesday and this time the theme was none other than the beloved show Gilmore Girls. Fans had a great time testing their knowledge of their favorite characters, quotes, and moments of the show.

When walking into the venue one could immediately feel the cozy, warm vibe of the Stars Hollow small town. For just $35 a team, participants competed in multiple rounds of questions inspired by the show. From Lorelai’s snarky remarks to Rory’s academic journey, the trivia covered a wide range of topics that challenged even the most devoted fans.

Beyond the competition, the night offered a social atmosphere where guests connected over their shared appreciation for the series. Events like this have become a staple at the Ten Tavern, which is known for hosting engaging community gatherings such as trivia, bingo nights, and another favorite blockbuster bites.

The Gilmore Girls Trivia Night had such an amazing turnout that they are already planning their upcoming Gilmore Girls themed event!

Strawberry Festival

This past Tuesday River Park hosted one of their annual events, the Strawberry Festival, and it was a lovely celebration that welcomed the spring and strawberry season. Aside from their weekly Farmers Market this celebration is a community favorite as it is in honor of one of the Central Valley’s most iconic crops. Held in the evening, the festival ranged from fresh produce, local vendors, and food trucks, all highlighting strawberries.

The Exposé attended this event and captured three different perspectives of the festival experience. First perspective discovers why strawberries were being celebrated in such a big way. The second perspective shifts attention to vendors, offering an insight into what it takes to secure a spot at such a high profile event and what it takes to prepare for a successful festival. For the third perspective we capture the overall experience from an attendee’s perspective, showcasing what people can find throughout the festival.

From strawberry-themed desserts and drinks to food trucks and handmade goods, the variety reflected the diversity of the market itself.

Together, the festival and the three perspectives highlight more than just strawberries but tell a story about a community’s love for a local agriculture crop.
